Lake Titicaca

Surrounded by beautiful snowcapped mountains, Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable surface in the world and home toancient Aymara farming and fishing communities. It is an essential source of Bolivian culture and meeting point of religions, traditions and beliefs.

In addition to his landscapes full of energy and mysticism, Lake Titicaca has several places of interest for its archaeological and cultural significance: The Copacabana peninsula, ceremonial center since pre-Hispanic times and home to the shrine of the Virgen de la Candelaria, one of the most important pilgrimage sites of our country. Suriki, an island renowned for its totora reed rafts builders. Pariti Island with its museum of Tiwanaku ceramics. The beautiful islands of the Sun and the Moon, where Inca monuments of great importance are preserved such as the Pilcocaina Palace, the Chinkana, the sacred shrine of Titi Kala or Puma Rock and the Palace of Iñak Uyu or Temple of the Moon.
